A Scottish law firm is growing its dedicated team to support those affected by road accidents, by announcing three new appointments.
Road Traffic Accident Law (Scotland) LLP (RTALS) which provides legal services for Motorcycle Law Scotland (MLS), Cycle Law Scotland (CLS) and Pedestrian Law Scotland (PLS) has appointed Marina Urie as a Senior Solicitor specialising in motorcycle and cycling accident law. The University of Aberdeen graduate has ten years experience as a Personal Injury Lawyer and has joined the team on a part-time basis.
Fiona Richardson has also been appointed as an Executive Assistant to RTALS founder, Brenda Mitchell, a motorcycle and cycle lawyer with 28 years of experience.
Based in London as an Executive Assistant for almost nineteen years and before that in Inverness, Fiona brings extensive legal admin and support skills to the team, having worked in the sector since 1985. Fiona was awarded the Business Services Person of the Year award by the Corporate Social Responsibility Group in 2014, highlighting her ethical way of thinking within a professional setting, a strong focus of RTALS.

Andrew Ward, a general administrator, who has a personal passion for motorcycle riding has also recently joined the team working from the Peebles office.
Brenda added: “It’s important that we not only have employees that are experts in their field, but truly understand the needs of our clients and the sector in which we work. “Many of our staff not only have an understanding of cycling and motorcycling, but also share my personal passion for riding. This makes a huge difference as we can relate more easily to issues our clients approach us with, enabling us to use our own experiences to help as best as we can.”
