Just over a year ago the employees of Cycle Law Scotland, the Peebles based Law firm, participated in Love to Ride’s Cycle September Global Challenge. The challenge was to accumulate points by racking up cycling miles when commuting, going shopping or simply a leisurely cycle. Points were also awarded for encouraging other friends and family to get out their bikes too. Over 1500 organisations and more than 25,000 employees in the UK alone took part. Cycle Law Scotland ended up taking top spot globally for businesses with between 7-19 employees.
"We were extremely proud of that achievement, explains Jodi Gordon, Partner at CLS, but even more importantly for us, the challenge illustrated just what can be achieved when individuals rally together as a team. Teamwork is one of our firm’s core values and therefore it came naturally for us all to pull together to achieve this spectacular result. Our genuine empathy for and dedication to our cycling clients, is borne out of our collective passion for cycling."
Cycle Law Scotland has signed up for the Love to Ride, Cycle September 2020 challenge and once again will be hoping to rack up lots of miles and points. However, this year, the firm would also like to see many more businesses from across the Borders take up the challenge and encourage their employees to take part.
Jodi comments,
"One impact of the Coronavirus pandemic has been the huge upsurge and uptake in cycling right across the board. With public transport restrictions in place, plus a general wish to reduce car journeys, especially the shorter ones by walking, cycling or wheeling, here is an ideal opportunity to pull your employees together, give them a challenge and see what they can achieve.”
