Cycling Retailers

If you are unlucky enough to be involved in a collison whilst on your bicycle and both you and your bike come into contact with 2 tonnes of metal, then there will be consequences.

You may be lucky and avoid injury or as a minimum have some soft tissue damage, but often your injuries can be more severe. Bike Chain and Front CassetteThis is why we get medical experts to assess the extent of your injuries and provide us with a full report in support of your claim for damages.

Similarly, your bike may escape serious damage and simply have a few scratches but very often the damage to your bike will be worse than this. You may have a damaged frame (especially if it is carbon), your wheels may be buckled or damage to your rear derailleur. To that end, we need qualified bicycle mechanics to fully assess the damage to your bike.

Cycle Law Scotland now work with a network of more than 200 bike retailers across the length and breadth of Scotland and the Islands who will provide a full bike assessment for our clients. You will not have to pay for this service as we pay them for you. They simply provide us with a full report outlining the extent of the damage and either the cost of repair or replacement whichever is best. We will then use that report to support your overall claim for damages from the third party insurer.
